Am I A Good Enough Mother?

As a mother, I often wonder if I'm doing a good job. Of course, there will always be more or different things that I could do but how will I know if my kids are on the right path??
My two oldest are well mannered, respectful, and don't get in any kind of trouble. BUT, will they make the right decisions when they need to make the right ones?
I strive hard to keep the communication lines open at all times. I talk to them about drugs, the dreaded sex talks, and how to treat other people(especially women). I say I love you, do you need anthing, and just ask how things are going with them. Are these things enough though. If someone offers them drugs, are they going to have the willpower to say no. Will what I've told them have any effect whatsoever?? I say I love you to them all the time but do they really know and understand how much? If I don't show them enough, will it affect how they love someone?

As a parent, I know it's my job to set my kids on the right path to success....success in jobs, frienships, relationships, and life in general. I do hope that I am succeeding myself in this journey...do you think you are being successful as a parent??

What next?

A French shrink said that no matter what you do for your kids, they will always ressent you sometime anyway. I believe it's true, perfect parenting doesn't exist. It must be a tough job.
