White Snow

He was a famous "show off" horse. In the Japanese parades, he would prance, switch his tail, and bob his head to make his long mane wave. He belonged to Emperor Hirohito of Japan.

When the U.S. Army took over Japan, they also took White Snow. Astride the now, weary horse of the late Emperor Hirohito, is the late Woodrow "Woody", taken in 1945, who was serving with the occupation forces in Japan after peace was signed. I would call him Papaw.

This is dedicated to my Papaw, who would try to explain to me that "Flossy the cow" wasn't going to hurt me and to my Mamaw, for writing these words and sharing her memories.

What next?
